Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account (email, name) and data generated through your use of our divination services (reading history, birth data for BaZi). We also collect standard analytics data, including page views and normalized acquisition categories such as search, referral, or campaign. We do not store search terms or full referring URLs in acquisition fields.
Readings, reflections, and deletion
Signed-in readings are saved to your account and kept until you delete an individual reading or delete your account. A reflection is saved only when you choose Save reflection. Without an account, a reflection stays only in the current browser tab and is not placed in local storage.
How We Use Your Data
Your divination data is used solely to provide personalized readings and maintain your reading history. For I Ching, your question and a server-built hexagram may be sent to the configured AI provider for interpretation. For BaZi, the provider receives only a derived chart; exact birth date, time, city, coordinates, timezone, and gender are not sent in the model prompt. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Sharing
An I Ching public link lasts 30 days unless you revoke it sooner. Your question and AI interpretation are excluded by default; reflections are never included. Revoking makes our no-store response unavailable immediately, but cannot remove copies that someone has already saved, screenshotted, or cached elsewhere. BaZi has no public link; signed-in users can only create a de-identified chart image.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Account data is managed by Clerk. We retain your reading history as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Clerk (authentication), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI interpretation), and Vercel (hosting). Each has their own privacy policy governing data they process on our behalf.
