Water flows on, reaching the goal. The superior person walks in lasting virtue and carries on the business of teaching.

Yin

First (Bottom)

Repetition of the Abysmal. In the abyss one falls into a pit. Misfortune.

Second

The abyss is dangerous. One should strive to attain small things only.

Third

Forward and backward, abyss upon abyss. In danger like this, pause first, then act. Otherwise you fall into a pit.

Fourth

A jug of wine, a second vessel of rice added to it. Earthen vessels simply handed in through the window. No blame.

Fifth

The abyss is not filled to overflowing. It is filled only to the rim. No blame.

Sixth (Top)

Bound with cords and ropes, shut up in a thorn-hedged prison. For three years one cannot find the way. Misfortune.
